Radical Intimacy: Dating as a Spiritual Practice

About this Workshop

While magazines have us convinced that all we need are 69 sex positions and 21 diet tips to create the relationship of our dreams, a deeper form of connection is possible that can satisfy our needs for relational safety while allowing room for growth and change. Radical Intimacy is the type of authentic connection that comes from allowing yourself to be fully seen.  In this interactive workshop, singles will learn practical tools to create the Radical Intimacy they crave in their romances. Single men and women of all sexual orientations are welcome.

Radical Intimacy in Action

It started with toilets.

Or dishes.  Or packing boxes.

I can’t quite remember where our two hour-long argument started, but it ended with my partner and I having lunch at our favorite diner, more in love with each other than ever.  Deep in conversation over Belgian waffles and an omelette, we walked down the path of self-discovery, learning more about who the other is and who we used to be.  This journey from conflict to deep intimacy wasn’t an accident.  We intentionally entered into our dating life (and now, our partnered life) with a shared commitment to authenticity.  Our courtship had less to do with finding someone to chill with and more to do with finding someone who could support us in living radically authentic, passion-filled, lives.  The more genuine we were with each other, the more we could build true, Radical, Intimacy.
